Moroccan Interior Minister Meets UNHCR Official
Moroccan Interior Minister Ahmed El Midaoui held in Rabat on Tuesday a work session with a delegation from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, led by assistant commissioner, Soren Jensen Petersen.
The Moroccan minister renewed the kingdom's readiness to extend all logistic, technical and material assistance to the UN body.
The HCR official expressed appreciation for the good cooperation of Moroccan authorities with the HCR.
Peterson and his party are visiting Morocco as part of a tour in the region to assess the HCR's activities prior to the repatriation of Sahrawi refugees as stipulated by the UN settlement plan for the Sahara.
