Barak hopes to transfer 5% of West Bank lands to the Palestinians
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak expressed his belief that 5% of the West Bank's land will be transferred to the Palestinians. The transfer was delayed due to disputes between the two sides regarding the quality of these lands.
Barak said the Israeli Cabinet ratified delivering this percentage and the government is ready to implement this. Barak warned that the failure to reach a peace in Middle East will increase the violence.
Palestinian and the Israeli negotiators are convening today to discus the maps concerning the Israeli redeployment from 5% of the West Bank in the frame of the second stage of the Sharm El-Sheikh accord.
