Lebanese information minister denies anticipated governmental amendment

Lebanese Information Minister Anwar Khalil stated today that the Lebanese government headed by Prime Minister Selim al-Hoss will supervise the parliamentary elections in summer of 2000, denying any amendment or forthcoming governmental change assuring the government stresses democratic principals.

This comes to answer the talk that has recently increased in the Lebanese parliamentary and political circles regarding expectations of a governmental amendment as a result to the remarks of President Emile Lahoud and Prime Minister Selim al-Hoss on the performance of some ministers.
