Syria, Lebanon to facilitate border crossing measures

A delegation representing the Syrian Ministry of the Interior led by the director of the immigration and passports department, Lt. Gen. Muhammad al-Hariri, and the Lebanese delegation led by the director general of the general security, Gen. Jamil al-Sayed, held talks in Damascus on Tuesday.

Discussions dealt with proposals submitted by the two sides in regards to enhancing, facilitating and improving procedures related to the crossing of individuals between the two states, on the grounds of the agreement already signed to this effect.

The meeting was attended by the secretary general of the Syrian - Lebanese higher council, Nasri al-Khouri. The Lebanese delegation arrived in Damascus earlier in the day.
