Qatar, Indonesia for raising relations to ambassadorial level

Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani and Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid on Tuesday in Doha discussed in a round of talks means of developing bilateral relations.

It was agreed to raise the level of diplomatic representation between the two countries to the ambassadorial level.

The Gulf News Agency said the two sides discussed means of developing economic and trade relations between the two countries as well as several issues on the regional and international arenas.

The Indonesian president arrived in Doha from Kuwait on a short visit to the state of Qatar that lasted for several hours.
