Members of Ben Barka's family to return to Morocco shortly, press reports
Some members of the family of Mehdi Ben Bark, a Paris-based Moroccan opponent who is missing since 1965, are planning to return to Morocco after having spent 35 years abroad, reported some Moroccan newspapers.
"Al Mounataf" reported in its Monday issue that no date has been set so far for the return of Mehdi's eldest son, Bechir, and that official sources refused to confirm or deny the news.
"Bayane Al-Youm" of this Tuesday quoted sources close to Ben Barka's family as saying that some members of the family are returning to Morocco shortly and that the plane carrying Bechir and his brother Saad from Paris will probably land in Rabat on Saturday morning.
Mehdi Ben Barka, a Moroccan opponent, has been reported missing since 1965. He was last seen on October 29, 1965 in Paris. An avenue in a residential district in Rabat bears his name.
