Abdelaziz Bel-Khadam, a member of the national rapport committee in Algeria, said the Algerian authorities are not behind the killing of Abdelkader Hachani, saying that this incident is a new obstacle before the civil rapport and the peace aspired to by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Abdelkader Boukhanka, one of the prominent leaders in the Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), said, "It is impossible at this time to direct accusations against any front yet the front which assassinated Abdelkader is the one that has assassinated the Algerian people since 1992," adding that the front's leaders are exposed to assassination by those who want to terminate the symbols of the FIS, which highly estimates Islam in Algeria and calls for finding a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the crisis in which Algeria has been experiencing since 1992.
