Abu Mazen: Hawatemeh's return is necessary to complete democratic front's quorum

Doha started a discussion tour between Mahmud Abbas (Abu Mazen) the secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and Nayef Hawatemeh, the secretary general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

In press statements yesterday Abu Mazen said, "I have met Hawatemeh accidentally, as we are friends, and we exchanged during a meeting the day before yesterday in Doha opinions, stances and the future matters in the Palestinian arena."

He also addressed the issue of Hawatemeh's return home, whose approval was halted by Israel after statements were attributed to him that were considered by Israel as harming its security, saying that in light of this meeting, the Palestinian National Authority will newly seek for Israel to remove the obstacles that stand in the way of Hawatemeh's return to Gaza.
