Tomorrow: Opening Cairo cinema festival N 23

Activities of the 23rd session of the Cairo International Film Festival are to start tomorrow with the participation of 174 films from 44 countries to be displayed over the course of two weeks in 16 cinema houses in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Egyptian actor Hussien Fahmi heads the festival. 17 films from 14 countries are participating in the formal competition.

In the international competition of the festival which includes nine other sections, which are the informational section, the festival of festivals, the Italian, Brazilian cinema, comedy, US independent cinema, Egyptian panorama and the Arab world's cinema and celebrating the 75 anniversary of establishing the Russian cinema city Mosi film.
