Algerian dailies issued on Sunday said that a 17-year old student was killed and another five persons were wounded when armed groups detonated a bomb as a school bus was passing on Saturday near the village of Souq al-Thnin in Bejaia in al-Qbayel district, 250 km east of the capital.

The papers added that the attackers who detonated the coach opened fire on it as it crashed.

On Saturday 17 persons were killed and another six wounded at a false barrier installed by the Armed Islamic Group on al-Shafa road near Blida town, 500 km south of the capital, according to hospital sources.
