Abdul Meguid meets Eritrea's ambassador in Cairo

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid discussed yesterday with Mohammed Omar Mahmud, Eritrea's ambassador in Cairo, the status in the African Horn area and the latest developments in the Ethiopian - Eritrean conflict.

Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Arab Affairs Ahmed Bin Hali said the Eritrean ambassador informed Abdul Meguid about the efforts of the Organization of African Unity to solve the Eritrean - Ethiopian conflict, and assured his country's support for Sudan's unity and territorial integrity and that points of view were exchanged concerning the Libyan - Egyptian and IGAD initiatives, saying that they complement each other.
