Sixth conference on epilepsy in the Mediterranean countries opens
The works of the sixth conference of the Mediterranean Sea basin for epilepsy, which is organized by the Egyptian association for treating epilepsy in association with the world association for epilepsy, opened yesterday in Cairo and will last for three days.
The discussions and research tackled by the conference said that the World Health Organization and other associations for combating epilepsy estimate the number of epileptics in the world at nearly 40 million, most of which are children, as the studies proved that 70% of epilepsy cases start during childhood and adolescence.
