Defusing US bomb North Iraq

Originally published

Iraqi national defense squads defused a U.S bomb that was dropped by US jets on one of the areas affiliated to At Ta'mim governerate in northern Iraq, an official in the civil defense department said today.

The official did not stated the date the bomb was dropped, but he said it was defused, adding that this bomb is one of several that have been defused in the same area during the current year.

The two no-fly zones in northern and south Iraq have been exposed to US and UK air shelling since last December to retaliate for Iraq's opposition to the air embargo and its ground resistance to confront the US and UK jets.
