Levy asks Suha Arafat to apologize
Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy on Monday asked the Palestinian authorities to submit an apology for the "dangerous statements made by the Palestinian first lady, Suha Arafat, statements which are in contradiction to the spirit of peace."
Suha Arafat had said earlier in the presence of US first lady Hillary Clinton in Ramallah during the inauguration of a health center financed by the US, that the Israelis "left behind them a heavy burden."
She added, "The Israeli army polluted 80% of potable water sources, and the use of poisonous gases by the Israeli army led to an increase in reported cancer cases."
