Originally published

Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi received on Wednesday a group of visiting French investors.

According to a statement of the prime minister's office, Youssoufi renewed Morocco's adherence to the European Union's principles and values regarding democracy and human rights. He also surveyed the transition going on in Morocco and the first decisions taken by King Mohammed VI since he succeeded last July his father, the late King Hassan II, to consolidate the rule of the law.

He also expounded the government's initiatives to create favorable conditions for foreign investors and Morocco's position on the enforcement of the Morocco-EU association agreement, stressing the kingdom's concerns to ensure a development-oriented rational exploitation of its resources.

After the prime minister's presentation, the French investors hailed the ongoing dynamic process in Morocco, stressing that public opinion and more particularly French investors are interested in Morocco's economic environment and are ready to contribute to the development drives in the kingdom.
