Bouteflika pardons 5,000 prisoners on the occasion of the Algerian revolution's celebrations

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika issued a pardon for 5,000 detainees, among which are 152 from the extremist religious elements, on the occasion of celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Algerian revolution. All the released persons had only one year left to serve of their sentences.

At the same time, a terrorist group slaughtered three Algerian shepherds in an area of eastern Djelfa state in southern Algeria.
