Iraqi opposition parties, forces refuse to take part in New York conference
Several Iraqi opposition parties and forces have called for not taking part in the meeting to be held in New York at the end of this month by the Iraqi opposition forces, because they "do not represent the Iraqi people and its national forces and it does not guarantee an independent Iraqi decision."
In a statement circulated in London on Tuesday, these Iraqi parties and forces called for continuing efforts to reach a common work formula among the Iraqi opposition forces and to get rid of the Iraqi government.
The statement was undersigned by Ibrahim al-Jafri from the Islamic Call Party, Idris Muhammad Idris from the Iraqi Democratic Coalition, Behram Zaya from the World Assurian Federation, Sami Azari al-Bahjoun from the National Reform Movement in Iraq, Subhei al-Jameili from the Iraqi Communist Party, Farouk Radaa from the Iraqi Democratic Federation, Qasem Muhammad Ghali from the free Iraqi council, Abdul Majid al-Husseini from the Iraqi Muslim Party, Mahmoud al-Sheikh Radi from the Baath Arab Socialist Party's London branch and Majeed al-Haj (no title is given to the last man).
