US - Egyptian presidential council convenes in Cairo

The US - Egyptian presidential council, comprised of elite businessmen in the two countries, is due to convene a meeting in Cairo in the coming week.

The US ambassador in Cairo, Daniel Kurtzer said the meeting's agenda includes increasing joint investments between the two countries and enhancing the Mubrak - Gore initiative for supporting small projects and Egyptian exports to the American markets.

Kurtzer added that US officials like Secretary of Commerce William Daley have visited Cairo and the secretaries of defense and the energy will visit Egypt soon.
