Moussa assures Egypt's adherence to a just peace in the area
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa emphasized his country's adherence to reaching a just peace among the countries of the Middle East through reaching an agreement for the final status between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
He added in a press statement yesterday on the occasion of starting a new term for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that this agreement must be on the principle of land-for-peace and end with the establishment of a Palestinian state as well as achieving the full Israeli withdrawl from the occupied Arab lands in the Golan and south Lebanon.
Moussa added that it is important to resume Arab solidarity to maintain joint Arab interests and that this takes place in the framework of calling for convening an Arab summit in the year 2000.
The Egyptian minister emphasized the priorities of the Egyptian foreign policy, which keeps relations with the African countries, the Mediterranean states, Asia and the developing countries in addition to establishing balanced relations with USA and the European Union to maintain joint Arab interests with these countries.
