Moroccan expert gets Arab environment prize
A Moroccan expert has been awarded the prize of the Arab environment ministerial council worth $5,000 for his research study on environment strategy and tourism development in the Moroccan Atlantic city of Agadir.
The council explained that the prized study tackled various aspects related to tourism and environment mainly at the levels of nature, economy, population and architecture.
The study tried to underline the link existing between three elements in every development project, namely economic choices, management means and planning and natural resources protection. It also underlined the connection existing between tourism as a key economic sector and environment as a heritage requiring protection.
