Moroccan print media to stage strike

The Moroccan Press Union (SNPM) has called on print media journalists to go on strike on October 22. The strike will be staged to claim a global change in the country's press to adapt relevant laws to the new requirements of the profession, SNPM secretary general, Younes Moujahid said at a meeting.

The Union plans a series of movements at the level of all media (print and audio-visual) to put pressure for the materialization of the professionals grievances, he said.
