Originally published

Moroccan and Andalusian educators are holding a meeting in Fez, 200 km to the north-east of Rabat, this October 13-14 to trade experience on human rights education. A special focus will be laid on the topics of tolerance, coexistence and culture of peace.

The meeting, the second of the kind, will hear presentations on the two sides' experiences in promoting human rights education and the actions conducted at the level of the UNESCO chairs on human rights.

Morocco and the UNESCO have set up a human rights chair at the rabat Mohammed V University.

The Fez meeting is sponsored by the Moroccan Human rights advisory council, in cooperation with the Rabat-based Islamic educational, scientific and cultural organization (ISESCO), the UNESCO center in Andalusia and the Grenada University.

The first such meeting was held in Spain last December.
