- The Kuwaiti Ministry of the Interior has continued its campaign to eliminate drugs in Kuwaiti society. In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah published on Saturday, the Kuwaiti interior ministry's secretary, Nasser Ahmad al-Othman, said the ministry will intensify its monitoring of drug dealers on all levels, regardless of their social positions in Kuwait.
