Morocco attends African ministerial fisheries conference
Morocco takes part in the 4th ministerial conference on fisheries cooperation between African countries bordering the Atlantic this October 12-15 in Conakry, Guinea.
The session will debate cooperation between the 21 member countries of the conference, mainly in the realms of vocational training and scientific research. Participants will also discuss means of standardizing national legislation and will finalize projects likely to strengthen collective and individual technical capacities of member countries.
The participants will also try to foster consultations within the African group to face up the major problems of world fisheries.
The Moroccan delegation will be led by minister in charge of fisheries, Thami Khyari.
Morocco, who holds the permanent secretariat of the conference, hosted last February the works of the follow-up committee. The committee's recommendations will be submitted to the Conakry meeting.
