Lebanese resistance attacks 10 Israeli positions, 8 Israeli raids
Lebanese President Emile Lahoud has stressed that the Lebanese people are committed to their lands and rights, regardless of Israeli pressures and escalated attacks.
Meanwhile, news reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli occupation forces told officials and members of the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia that it will withdraw shortly from Hasbaya, a matter which raised confusion and unrest in the lines of these militias.
The Israeli decision to withdraw from Hasbaya came as a result of the qualitative increase in the operations carried out by the Lebanese national resistance, which in just 24 hours carried out more than 10 operations targeted at the occupation positions in al-Bayada, al-Hardoun, al-Tibeh and Mashgaroun, Sujoud, Beer Klab, al-Zaffatah, and Kassaret al-Aroush and ambushed an Israeli patrol force in al-Rayhan district resulting in wounding three Israeli soldiers.
Lebanese resistance operations came in retaliation for the aggressive escalation made by the Israeli forces against south Lebanon.
The Israeli planes on Thursday carried out eight raids that targeted the towns of Ein Buswar, Jarjouí and Wadi al-Qeseyeh, while the Israeli artillery bombardment targeted the surroundings of Majdal Zoune, Zibqin and Jibal al-Butoum, Majdal Siloum, Qib Reiha, al-Swannah, Khurbet Soloum and al-Salawqi valley. The raids resulted in major damage to houses and properties.
