No difficulties in ratifying partnership agreement between Algeria, European Union
The ambassador of the European Union in Algeria, Lorenzo Sanchez, said there are no big difficulties for ratifying a partnership agreement between Algeria and the EU in the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.
Sanchez said that if the Euro-Mediterranean partnership aims at establishing a free-exchange zone, this must first emerge out of the ties that link the Mediterranean's two banks and the importance of economic relations between them.
Regarding the future of the Algerian - European negotiations on ratifying a partnership agreement concerning the free exchange zone and the reason for the current halt in these talks, Sanchez said in a statement conveyed by the Algerian News Agency yesterday that ratifying any agreement of that sort requires time and the need to consider the interests of the two sides.
