King Abdullah to convey Iraqi unspecified message to US
King Abdullah II of Jordan left on Wednesday for Britain on a two-day visit, after which he will head for Washington to meet with US President Bill Clinton and high-ranking US officials.
Talks will center on bilateral relations, especially economic and investment relations, the US backing and military and economic support for Jordan, as well as the Middle East peace process and current developments in the region.
King Abdullah said he will convey during his visit to the USA a message from the Iraqi leadership to the US administration.
Before leaving Amman yesterday on his way to Washington, King Abdullah said Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Aziz delivered a message to Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh and that he will convey the message to the US administration.
After his visit to the US, the Jordanian king will head for Spain where he will meet with Spain's King Juan Carlos and high-ranking officials there.
