Arab League calls for Palestinian pavilion at Disney

Originally published

The Arab League has reiterated its call on the Walt Disney Company to establish a Palestinian pavilion in its exhibition, held under the title the Millennium Village, which started activities as of October 1.

This request by the AL aims at enabling the Palestinian pavilion to exhibit items and films which reflect the Arab viewpoint concerning occupied Jerusalem, in confrontation of what has been displayed in the Israeli pavilion concerning Jerusalem.

The Palestinian permanent representative at the Arab League, Muhammad Sabih, said this request sent to Disney came following contacts between the company and members of the Arab committee authorized by the AL council on this matter and following the decisions of the recent meetings of the Arab foreign ministers held in New York, which called for setting up a Palestinian pavilion at its exhibition, similar to the Israeli one so the Palestinian side will be able to show the Palestinian and Arab viewpoints concerning the question of Jerusalem.
