Second tour of dialogue between Fatah and People's Front

Originally published

Following their first round of talks in Cairo a month ago, delegates of the Palestinian National Authority and the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine held today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, a second round of talks aimed at reaching a joint base among the Palestinian factions.

These talks come a month after Jordan's closure of the bureaus of the Hamas movement in Amman. Hamas and the People's Front are two important organizations among the Palestinian factions that oppose the peace process.

The talks take place two days before Abu Ali Mustafa, the assistant secretary general of the PFLP is to be allowed into the self-rule areas in Gaza.
