Iraq backs establishment of Arab economic bloc
Iraq has announced that it is ready to take part in an economic bloc established by the Arab states to withstand blocs in the world.
During his meeting with the chairman of the Lebanese Industrialists Society, Jacques Sarraf, and members of the accompanying delegation in Baghdad on Monday, Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan said, "Iraq is ready to put all its potential toward establishing a strong Arab economy that can stand in the face of international economic blocs."
Ramadan added that Iraq backs any work aimed at strengthening Arab works, politically, scientifically and economically. He stressed his country's desire to give priority to inter-Arab economic cooperation.
