Originally published

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah is starting a Maghreb tour including Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, aimed at rectifying the atmosphere between Morocco and Algeria.

Relations became more tense recently when Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika accused Morocco of having Islamic extremists in its lands who committed sabotage against Algeria.

Relations between the two states witnessed positive development after the death of King Hassan II and the assumption of his son King Mohammed VI of power as well as Bouteflika's assumption of power earlier this year.

The Arab states were surprised by the new tensions between the two states.
