Killings in Algeria

The Algerian daily al-Youm said on Sunday that two resistance men were killed in clashes with the armed groups in Sidi Bel Abbes province. In its Sunday issue, the paper added that two Armed Islamic Group members surrendered to the specialized committee in the course of the civil reconciliation law, while other two gunmen surrendered in Ain Defla province under the law.

For its part, the Algerian daily al-Aseel said the Algerian security forces killed two gunmen and wounded others during mopping-up operations recently held in Mascara province.

Al-Khabar daily said that nine gunmen surrendered to sides concerned in several areas.
