Ahmed Qrei: Barak evades reaching a final settlement
The head of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Ahmed Qrei stated that Egypt has been adopting the Palestinian cause since its birth.
In a speech to El-Siasi El-Masri newspaper yesterday, Qrei said the results of the final status negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis could draw the Palestinian map, therefore our negotiator must be serious and not hasty in taking decisions.
Qrei criticized the declarations made by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak regarding the transitional agreements concerning final status negotiations, saying, "These declarations cause frustrations and place question marks regarding Barak's seriousness in reaching an agreement."
Regarding whether the final status negotiations confirm that the Palestinian cause is about to be solved, Qrei said, "There is no doubt that the final status negotiations are the most important, most difficult and most serious in whose light the Palestinian plan will be drawn, therefore it need lots of caution, seriousness, consultations and not haste in taking any decisions," describing Barak as evading reaching a real settlement.
