Algerian gunmen surrender
Some 60 Algerian gunmen from the Armed Islamic Group surrendered to the Algerian authorities in 12 provinces, under the law of "national reconciliation."
Algerian Minister of the Interior Abdul Malik al-Sallal said in a statement on Monday that the "new law aims at halting bloodshed which claimed the life of 100,000 persons and resulted in heavy casualties and material losses."
