Continuing Arab threats to boycott Burger King
The Burger King fast food restaurant company may still face threats of boycotts from the Arab states and Moslems all over the world because of establishing a restaurant in a Jewish settlement in a West Bank occupied by Israel.
After protest and threats of boycott, the company had withdrawn a license that would have allowed an Israeli company to build a store in a settlement in the occupied territories in the West Bank five kilometers East Jerusalem.
Burger King said it would not agree on opening the branch at such a crucial time of the peace process.
The Arab states praised the decision but did not specify whether the Palestinian president will pull his proposal back from the agenda of the Arab foreign ministers meeting at the Arab League on September 12.
