Ruler of Kuwait, meetings and messages

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Wednesday in Kuwait received the chairman of the Jordanian royal court, Abdul Karim al-Kabareiti, currently visiting Kuwait.

Present at the meeting were the minister for the emir's court, Sheikh Nasser Muhammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and the Jordanian charge d'affairs to Kuwait.

Al-Kabareiti has expressed his hope that the forthcoming visit to be held by Jordan's King Abdullah to Kuwait will be a new breakthrough in Jordanian - Kuwaiti relations that would be greatly developed to vast horizons that would cover political, economic and public areas. In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am released on Wednesday, al-Kabareiti, currently visiting Kuwait added " Jordan is determined to exert all possible efforts to have relations in all areas with Kuwait in their best."

Meanwhile, Sheikh Jaber al- Ahmad al-Sabah received a message from Turkish President Suleiman Demirel. No news were disclosed on the content of the message, which was delivered by Turkish Foreign Minister Ismael Cem during his meeting with the ruler of Kuwait on Wednesday.

Moreover, the emir of Kuwait also received a message from Iranian President Muhammad Khatami. No information was disclosed on the content of the message. The message was delivered by the deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs in Iran during his meeting with the emir of Kuwait on Wednesday in Kuwait.
