Amman: Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese tripartite gathering of an economic objective
Jordanian sources told the London based al-Hayat daily that what has been debated by Amman of establishing a tripartite gathering including Jordan, Syria and Lebanon is "much more than mere ideas and less than an integrated initiative."
Meanwhile Syrian sources said, "Parts of this issue were debated in the meetings hosted by the Syrian capital in the past two days, during which discussions centred on tripartite economic integration and discussions in adopting a united entry visa."
In Beirut, Lebanese governmental sources told al-Hayat, "The Jordanian side did not discuss with the Lebanese side in the idea of the tripartite gathering."
Concerning the united visa, Lebanese Tourism Minister Artur Nazarian said he discussed this issue with his Jordanian and Syrian counterparts, adding that this matter is not their speciality.
