The Organization of the African Unity stressed on Monday that reviewing its charter will be an item to be discussed in the agenda of the organization's special summit to be held in Syrte, Libya at the beginning of September.

AFP quoted Ibrahim Daqqash, the spokesman for the organization, which takes Addis Ababa as headquarters, as saying that strengthening Africa's capabilities towards challenges presented by the new millennium will be the main topic for this special summit whose decision to hold a special meeting was taken during the annual summit which was held in Algiers in July.
