17 die in an explosion in Algeria

The Algerian daily al-Youm said on Sunday that the explosion that took place on Saturday in the Algerian Medea province resulted in 17 deaths and several injuries.

The paper reported that the owners of the house where the bomb exploded were holding a party for their son, and it seemed that one person had placed the bomb before he left the house.

Meanwhile, an armed group in Algeria killed four citizens at a fake roadblock in the Bufarik district of Algeria. The Algerian daily al-Khabar also revealed that one woman was killed and a child was wounded and one girl was kidnapped in al-Rayashah district near Harour mountain in Tenis city.

Meanwhile, the Algerian daily al-Youm said one person was killed and two others wounded in a bomb explosion in Tibseh province. The paper indicated that the armed forces are carrying out large mopping-up operation in Teizi Ozo district, using heavy machine guns in striking armed groups shelters.
