Kuwait gives Jordanians, Sudanese work licenses
The Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Am quoted Kuwaiti Minister of Trade, Industry, Social Affairs and Labor Abdul Wahab al-Wazzan as saying that the Kuwaiti authorities have recently offered work permits to Jordanian and Sudanese citizens, in the context of restoring relations with the two states to normalcy. The Kuwaiti minister added that his country also agreed to open a Sudanese trade center in Kuwait.
He stressed that his country does not oppose the entry of any Jordanian or Sudanese citizen to its territories in the context of valid rules, especially as political relations with the two states have been restored.
Kuwait has started over the last year to improve its relations with the Arab states that backed Iraq during its occupation of Kuwait from August 1990 until February 1991.
