Lebanese resistance retaliates for Israeli attacks
The Lebanese resistance on Sunday attacked two Israeli positions in Sweida and Tebeh in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance forces said that two resistance groups attacked, using rockets and machine guns, the two military positions and destroyed several detachments and fortifications.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese security sources on Sunday said that Israeli artillery shelled the towns of Jimejmeyeh, Majdal Soloum, Sawannah, Eita al-Jabal and Khirbet Soloum in the western sector of south Lebanon. The Israeli shelling coincided with mock raids carried out by Israeli warplanes at low altitudes over the central, western and eastern sectors up to Baalbeck town.
The source added that anti-aircraft guns of the Lebanese army and the Lebanese resistance forces fired on the raiding planes.
Further reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli occupation troops on Sunday bombarded the town of Toulin in the western sector of south Lebanon. A house was hit as a result of the shelling, the sources said.
The Lebanese sources continued that the bombardment also covered the hills of al-Tuffah district, al-Nabatieh, Habboush, Arab Salim and Kafer Roumman as well as the areas of Haboush and al- Zahrani rivers and al-Tasse spring.
The Lebanese sources noted that the shelling coincided with Israeli heavy machine gun shots fired against hilly passages linking the al-Tuffah district to the occupied part of south Lebanon.
