Palestinian minister of information urges Israel not to delay Wye River accord

Palestinian Minister of Information Yasser Abed Rabbo said, "The Palestinian Authority does not want declarations issued by this or that minister, but it wants to deal with actual facts."

Abed Rabbo added, "The Israelis think that the existing negative reality could be contravened by positive declarations in media."

Abd Raboh added that the Palestinians want the Israelis to make "a frank and clear statement that they are ready to start implementing and applying the Wye River accord and the rest of the agreements, according to what is stated, no more no less."

He said that "by determing the coming February as a date for ending up implementing Wye River accord is a contradiction to the agreements which we do not accept and that one part has not right to change the agreements alone as the agreements say 'we must start the implementation and ending it up in a period that does not exceed 2 months and not 8" as an attempt to divide the agreement and implementing the first part of it then procrastination and obstructing implementing the rest of the agreement, "as usual."

He referred that "the Palestinian authority discussed this matter more than once and in all these meetings we said that our stance simply is respecting the agreements and completely implementing it and we do not have the intention to re-open any agreement regarding its time schedule or its containment."
