Al-Rawabdeh: Arab coordination for peace process
Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh said there is a full coordination with Egypt in all causes and subjects.
He said, "Jordan stands by his Arab brothers in Lebanon and Palestine to reach their full rights in final status negotiations, without being a partner in it."
In a press conference held on Tuesday evening, he refused to consider Jordan a mediator between Syria and Israel in order to resume the negotiations.
He added, "We do not talk about mediation because we are a part of our Arab Nation and we stand beside Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, and we will be a help to them in reaching their rights."
He also said that Jordan is resuming efforts in coordination and consultation with the Arab states to support the efforts exerted to activate the peace process on all tracks to reach a just, a permanent and a comprehensive peace in the area, clarifying that Jordan is concerned with the final status negotiations as there are Jordanian interests in some of the raised issues.
Al-Rawabdeh said his country supports the Palestinian calls for the Palestinian refugees' return to their original homes in Palestine and that he will oppose any idea for setting the refugees outside Palestine.
