Meeting of the Arab committee for Barcelona

Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Fathi El-Shazeli is leaving Cairo on Sunday, heading to Damascus for a three-day visit, during which he will participate in the meeting of the high Arab coordinating officials for the Barcelona process.

El-Shazeli told ArabicNews.com, "This meeting aims at coordinating the Arab stances in Mediterranean - European cooperation and preparing for the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers participating in the Barcelona operation.

The meeting of the foreign ministers is to be held on the margins of the Arab League council's meetings on September 4 and 5 in Cairo.
