Emir of Qatar to visit Lebanon

It was announced in Beirut on Tuesday that the ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, will hold an official visit to Lebanon at the invitation of Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on August 8. Sheikh Hamad is to be accompanied by a high-ranking Qatari delegation.

The Qatari ambassador in Lebanon, Muhammad al-Nueimi, said that the visit falls in the course of deepening relations between the two states and discussing the latest developments concerning the Middle East peace process and for strengthening cooperation in various fields.
