A festival for comedy in Algeria

The Algerian province of Tipaza has organized a four-day festival for comedy that is to start tomorrow, in which 26 comic groups representing 15 states will participate, as well as a large number of well-known comic actors in Algeria.

The festival was originally started in 1981, and six sessions were held before the event was cancelled due to security circumstances.

The festival held this year aims at discovering new comic actors through a competition for the funniest.

In Tizi Ouzou province the celebration of the "silver feast" began, which is a festival for presenting the traditional silver manufacturers under the slogan of, "Silver is a symbol of beauty and resistance."

The Algerian Ministry of Tourism decided to select a number of the distinguished participants to take part in the annual festival of manufacturers hosted by French city of Marseille during September.
