Israel gets ready to receive Turkish water
Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy announced yesterday that Israel is sending a diplomatic delegation to Turkey to discuss the implementation of Turkey's proposals to sell water to Israel.
Israel Radio said today that the Turkish proposal includes selling water for 20 years, in light of implementing the articles of the strategic cooperation agreement signed between the two countries more than three years ago.
The agreement faces strong opposition from Arab states on the basis that Turkey is an Islamic state and must not cooperate with Israel before peace is reached, with the return of Islamic legal rights in the Golan Heights and Jerusalem.
