UAE grants Cote d'Ivoire $6 million to complete mosque building

The United Arab Emirates granted Friday Cote D'Ivoire $6 million to enable the African country to complete the building of a mosque in downtown Abidjan.

The mosque, whose overall construction costs around $20 million, is capable of hosting 6,000 worshippers. Muslims represent 40% of Cote D'Ivoire's 15 million inhabitants.
