Shahin heads the arbitration committee of Alexandria cinema festival

World-famous Egyptian director Yousef Shahin agreed to accept the chairmanship of arbitration committee of the international competition at the Alexandria International Cinema Festival, which will be held from September 15 - 30.

Shahin will be also the guest of honor in this session. A special cinema week regarding his films will be held, the most prominent of which are "The Land," "The Choice," "Alexandria Why," "The Sixth Day," "Destiny," "The Immigrant," and his last film, "The Other One."

The Egyptian actress Yosra will share membership on the arbitration committee with Shahin and French actor Michael Bicoli who previously cooperated with Shahin in his films.

The festival's administration has not announced the rest of names of the arbitration committee for this session of the festival, in which 22 countries from inside and outside the Mediterranean basin are expected to participate.
