Lebanon: Cease fire supervision group meets
The April Understanding monitoring committee convened today in Lebanon in Naqoura city after its work was suspended by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
The decision of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to restore Israel's participation in the meetings is the first step taken by Barak toward Lebanon after forming his government.
The suspension of the Israeli participation came after the air raids launched by Israel on infrastructure in Lebanon and after the launch of Katyusha missiles on northern Israel.
